Kanye West reveals new album title and tracklist

Kanye West’s seventh studio album is set to drop tomorrow, and at last we have a final title and tracklist:

Kanye’s seventh studio album has had several working titles, from SWISH, to So Help Me God, to WAVES, to T.L.O.P, which we now know stands for The Life of Pablo. People are already speculating about the meaning of the title or which Pablo he is referring to. Some people have guessed Pablo Picasso, while my guess is Pablo Sanchez from Backyard Baseball:

Is any of this real or true? We will find out tomorrow.

Margo Price, the next cool country star

Margo Price is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter who is the first country artist signed on Jack White’s Third Man Records. Her debut solo album recorded at Sun Studio in Memphis, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, is set to drop in March, and all signs are pointing to it being a commercial and critical success. The first single from the album, “Hurtin’ (On The Bottle),” debuted in December, followed by a performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in January, and a performance at The Grand Ole Opry last Friday.

Price moved from Illinois to Nashville in 2003 and began honing her craft in venues all over Nashville and beyond as the frontwoman of southern rock band Buffalo Clover. Over the last decade she has become a fixture in the Nashville music scene, which led to collaborations with Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes and opening slots for The Flaming Lips and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Now as a solo artist, she has shifted her sound to true country. Although she has already been compared to country legends such as Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette, Price’s delivery has a tone of purely individual sincerity that feels authentic and earned. She has paid her dues as a songwriter and performer, which allows her to display such effortless cool. Now we get to enjoy her at the peak of badassery. Maybe she’s not even there yet. Either way, give Margo Price a listen before everyone else does.
